Looking to be just the second team to ever win three consecutive CAA lacrosse championships, the Towson Tigers men's lacrosse team hosted the UMass Minutemen at the Johhny Unitas Stadium in Towson, MD. With not just a chance at history on the line but also an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, the top seeded Tigers made it to the final after defeating Drexel while Umass upset the second seeded Hofstra Pride. From the games first whistle, it was clear that UMass was no match for the stout Tiger defense and timely offense, as Ryan Drenner tallied three points and Matt Hoy held Massachusetts to only four goals en route to a 9-4 win.
