As the nightcap of the 2017 Patriot Cup held at the Ford Center at The Star in Firsco Texas, the Highland Park Scots Varsity lacrosse team hosted the Austin Westlake boy's lacrosse team. In a rematch of the 2016 Texas High School Lacrosse Semi-Finals, the Chaps of Westlake looked to avenge a heart breaking loss to the Scots. However, Highland Park would prove to bee too much for Westlake to handle, as the Scots rolled to a 12-3 season opening victory.
