In a non-conference lacrosse matchup played in frigid conditions at the famed Nickerson Field in Boston, MA, the Boston University men’s lacrosse team hosted the Air Force Falcons. Heading into the game, the 19th ranked Boston Terriers were undefeated with an impressive 5-0 record, led by senior goaltender Christian Carson-Banister and senior Cal Dearth, who was recently named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch list. For Air Force, the Falcons sat at 3-2 with Chris Walsch leading the way with 18 points on the year. The game started off quickly for the visiting Falcons as they scored right off the opening face-off and would add another late goal to take a 2-0 lead into the second quarter. The Terriers would come roaring back, responding with a 5-0 run heading into the half and would ride that momentum to an 8-6 win. Banister would finish the game with 17 saves while junior attackRyan Hilburn called three goals while the Falcons got a game high four goals from junior attack Nick Hruby. Air Force will return home for a match up with Detroit Mercy while Boston will look to continue its winning ways when it travels to play Patriot League rival Colgate.
