Despite freezing temperatures and high winds, the Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays men’s lacrosse team traveled across town for the 45th meeting in their history with the Towson Tigers. Heading into the meeting, the Blue Jays held a huge lead in the overall series record, posting a 40-4 edge over the Tigers. However, in their last meeting at Towson, the Tigers pulled off a 7-5 upset. Played in front of a solid crowd at Johnny Unitas Stadium, the Tigers jumped out to an early lead that was quickly answered by the Jays. After falling behind early in the second, the Tigers would seize control of the game and not relinquish the leading would eventually roll to a 13-8 win over the Jays. Senior Joe Seider led the way for Towson with four goals while goalie Josh Miller made six saves on 14 shots. The win was also the first time the Tigers defeated the Jays in back to back home games. Johns Hopkins will look to rebound when it returns home for a huge showdown with long time rivals Syracuse while the Tigers will remain home for a matchup with Ohio State.
